Monetary statistic and interest rate statistics.

The National Bank compiles and publishes data on monetary and interest rates statistics. Within the monetary statistics, the data are complied and published with monthly and/or qarterly periodicity. The balance sheets and surveys of depository corporations (NBRM, banks and saving houses) are compiled and published on a monthly basis. Data from the balance sheets and surveys of depository corporations are the basis for preparation of the data on broad money and its components and other monetary reports (deposits and loans of the non-goverment sector with other depository corporations (banks and savings houses) and bank loans extended to households). Until 2009, the data were compiled according to the old methodology, which is based on old banks' chat of accounts. Since January 2009, new methodologies have been set, that adhere to the newly prescribed chat of accounts. In addition to the balance sheets and the surveys of depository corporations, the balance sheet and the survey of other financial corporations (investment funds, pension funds, insurance companies, investment funds management companies and pension funds management companies) and the financial corporations survey, are prepared and published on a quarterly basis. Data are presented in domestic currency (in millions of Denars).
Within the interest rates statistics, an aggregate report on the weighted interest rates of banks on deposites received and loans granted is compiled. We compile and publish data on Denar and foreign currency deposits of/loans to the nonfinancial corporations sector (public and other) and households (individuals and self-employed individuals). Denar deposits/loans include Denar deposits/loans with and without FX clause. Weighted interest rates are published for: outstanding amounts, new business and outstanding amounts on deposits received and loans granted - by groups of banks. Additionally, we compile and publish data on weighted interest rates on current accounts (deposits/loans) and interest rates on credit cards. Data are presented in precentages on annual level.
