The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia is selling short-term securities - Central Bank bills. The Central Bank bills are in non-tangible form and they are selling with a discount and the maturity date as of:
· 3 days with 13% interest;
· 7 days with 14% interest;
· 14 days with 14% interest;
· 28 days with 15% interest, annually.
The amount of Central Bank bills the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia offers for sale, is limited and in line with the objectives of the monetary policy. In case of increased demand for Central Bank bills, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia applies the proportional allocation principle.
The Central Bank bills sale for legal entities is conducted through banks, which in the name and for third party account take part on the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia primary market. The minimal amount of Central Bank bills the banks can purchase with the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia is limited on Denar 1,000,000.00.
