Press release of the NBRM
The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia informs the public that as of today, it reduced the interest rate on the CB bills with 28-day maturity and 7-day maturity from 15.00% to 13.00% p.a. and from 11% to 8% p.a., respectively.
The achieved macroeconomic stability, the movements on the foreign exchange market, where the supply has been higher relative to the demand for a long period of time, the stabilization of the economic relations with the foreign countries, the increased propensity of the households to save, enabled the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia to decrease the interest rate on the CB bills, which was a sign to the banks to respond properly.
