On January 23-24, 2006, the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Petar Goshev, visited Israel. In the course of the first day of the stay in Jerusalem, Governor Goshev had a meeting with the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Mr. Stanley Fisher, where important aspects of the monetary policy conduct were discussed. At the same time, the other delegation members and their counterparts from the Bank of Israel discussed some issues of interest from the areas of economic research and monetary policy instruments.
On the second day, Governor Goshev visited the Stock Exchange and had meetings with representatives of the business community in Tel Aviv. Under organization of the Israeli Export Institute, Governor Goshev will make presentation on the developments in the Macedonian economy and the investment possibilities in front of 20 representatives of companies interested in developing business cooperation with partners from the Republic of Macedonia.
