The Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia adopted a decision for issuing prior approval to Demir-Halk Bank (Netherland) N.V. from Rotterdam, the Netherlands for acquiring over 50% of the total number of shares of Izvozna i kreditna banka AD Skopje. The transaction for acquiring shares should be performed no later than 180 days from the day of obtaining the Governor's approval.
Demir-Halk Bank (Netherland) N.V. is commercial bank, operating based on a license issued by the Central Bank of the Netherlands since 1992. 70% of the shares are in the ownership of the financial holding company HCBG Holding BV, while the remaining 30 % are owned by Turkiye Halk Bankasi A.S (Halkbank). The bank's main office is in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and it has branch offices in Holland, Germany and Belgium and a representative office in Turkey.
In line with the revised consolidated financial statements for 2007, the bank's financial potential equals Euro 1.9 billion, capital of Euro 211.6 million and stated financial result of Euro 18.7 million.
