Press release of the NBRM

Pursuant to the special Law on Banks for Microfinancing  ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia" no.61/2002), the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia passed a Decision no.02-14/345-2003 dated July 03, 2003, on issuing a license for establishing and operating a bank for microfinancing named Pro Business Bank AD Skopje, with its main office being located in Skopje on the following address:  "Marks and Engels" St., no.3. block 10, office 45.

The Bank's shareholders are the following:

The international organization European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with       their   share  in the shareholders structure of the Bank presented in percentages being equal to 50%;
The international organization International Financial Corporation (IFC), with their share in the   shareholders structure presented in percentages being equal to 19%; and
The joint stock company International Micro Investitionen - Frankfurt (IMI), with their share in the shareholders structure presented in percentages being equal to 31%.
The Bank is licensed for conducting the following financial activities:

Receiving all types of money deposits from legal entities and natural persons;
Extending credits in the country;
Taking loans in the country;
Taking loans abroad;
Foreign currency operations;
Issuing cash cards;
Issuing electronic money;
Financial leasing;
Conducting payment operations in the country;
Conducting international payment operations;
Economic and financial consulting;
Providing services when paying invoices and keeping record;
Issuing Denar cash guarantees, backing guarantees and other forms of guarantees;
Issuing foreign exchange money guarantees, backing guarantees and other forms of guarantees; and
Trading with foreign assets and executing foreign exchange transactions.
