of central banking in the
Republic of
Macedonia. The
celebration of this anniversary will take place from October 20 to 22, 2006, and
it will be marked by several events, organized by the National Bank of the
Republic of
Macedonia.
Within the celebration of this anniversary, a ceremonial evening program is
scheduled for October 20, 2006 and the international conference entitled
"Monetary Policy Challenges under Current Account Deficit" will be held on
October 21, 2006.
The topic of the conference has a significant importance to the monetary policy
makers in the countries in transition, including the
Republic of
Macedonia. Besides the
main subject, the conference will also include discussions about the
implementation of the monetary policy under liberalization of the capital
transactions, i.e. the implications of the liberalization and the available
central bank instruments for minimizing the potential risks.
